Why Tire Pressure and Tread Matter

At Grand Valley Auto Lakewood, we want you to know how to take care of your vehicle. Ideally, you will check your tires for any signs of damage before going on your next adventure in Lakewood. A cut or puncture could result in reduced tire pressure, and if the air pressure gets too low, you could be at greater risk of an accident.

You can check the owner's manual to determine how much pressure a tire needs. The vehicle itself may also indicate if a tire's air pressure is too low. Ideally, all the tires will be inflated to the same level to ensure a safe ride and even wear.

If you can't see any grooves in a tire, it is likely too worn down to be driving on. Tires without sufficient tread are unable to make contact with the road when there is snow or ice on them.
